Week 54 in London

Week 54: 11 - 17 April 2016

With just two days left of their holiday, Nola and Stacey enjoyed their last few days in London wandering around Clapham, visiting Platform 9 and ¾ at Kings Cross, taking an iconic picture at the Abbey Road crossing, last minute shopping and packing.

3 weeks went past quite quickly and before we knew it, it was Thursday, 14th April and it was time for them to go home. Given their flight was quite early we decided to stay out at the Hilton Hotel at Heathrow Airport and enjoyed a nice dinner together before saying goodbye the next morning.

Brendan and Roslyn must have got delirious after they left and spent the night learning the wonders of Face-Swap. Brendan even managed to face swap with a tortilla wrap!

On Sunday morning, Roslyn was off to Frankfurt for the IMEX Exhibition with work, similar to the trip in Barcelona a few months back. With Brendan left to his own devices over the next 5 days, he took the opportunity to be a tourist and spent Sunday at the Tower of London. Established by William Conqueror in 1066 to keep hostile Londoners at bay, the mighty Tower of London has been the scene of Britain’s most dramatic, fascinating and surprising history.  It is quite a large ‘museum’ so Brendan spent all day wandering the exhibits and soaking up the history.

Highlights for the week:
- Harry Potter Platform 9 and 3/4 at Kings Cross (Nola and Stacey)
- Abbey Road crossing (Nola and Stacey)
- Hilton Hotel
- Nola and Stacey flew out
- Snapchat face swap with a tortilla
- Roslyn left for Frankfurt for IMEX Exhibition
- Brendan visited the Tower of London
